Work Package 4: Increasing & Sharing of Knowledge on the Target Technologies

Description


This work package focuses on updating and sharing the knowledge on the status of development and market-availability of innovative small-scale solar-power technologies for distributed/in-building’s applications. The involved countries are expected to improve their technical capacity for developing the local solar-energy systems’ industry. In each region a map of local stakeholders will be developed underlining their interests and priorities regarding the objectives of the project.


Expected Results

 

  • A better and up dated knowledge on the status of development and market-availability of innovative small-scale solar-power technologies for distributed/in-building’s applications.

  • Improvement of knowledge on the potential and comparative cost?benefit of the specific innovative solar?energy technologies for decentralised applications in non?residential, middle?large, buildings, in the dominant environment conditions of Mediterranean Sea Basin countries

  • Adapted designs of operative small scale systems, for in?building applications.

  • Adapted operative designs adding guided concentrator subsystems, so that the liquid cycle starts at high temperature, in order to exploit the comparative advantage of the warmer climate of the Mediterranean Basin countries.
